The Oxfordshire County Council Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for Oxfordshire Wheatley Footpath No. 23 Modification Order 2022

The above Order made on 14 November 2022, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by:-

Adding to them the footpath from Wheatley FP1 at grid reference SP 5877 0546, south of Littleworth Business Centre, running southeast for approximately 91 metres to SP 5886 0542 and then continuing generally south for approximately 211 metres to Windmill Lane at SP 5889 0522, east of Windmill Cottage.

Adding to them the bridleway from the A40 at SP2371 1208, running SSW for approx. 1515 metres to SP 2307 1070 at the Westwell Parish boundary and from the boundary with Burford Parish at SP 23071070 SSW for approx. 242 metres to the Signet Hill to Westwell road at SP 2302 1046.

Adding to them the footpath in Hempton from The Lane at grid reference SP 4458 3176, running east-north-east for approximately 52 metres to Footpath No. 10 at SP 4463 3178 near the Old Chapel.

not later than 20 January 2023 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made. The notice period has been extended from 42 to 56 days to allow for the Christmas period. If no representations or objections are duly made to the orders, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Oxfordshire County Council, instead of submitting the orders to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the orders. If the orders are submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with them.


Notice Of Confirmation Of Public Path Creation Order And Definitive Map And Statement Modification Order
Highways Act 1980, Wildlife And Countryside Act 1981

The Oxfordshire County Council Chesterton Footpath No 15, Public Path Creation and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2022

On 16 November 2022, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by creating:-
a public footpath running from the western end of the allotments at OS Grid Ref SP 5591 2135 north eastwards for 100m to SP 5599 2141 at its junction with Fortescue Drive, and continuing from Fortescue Drive at SP56002142 north eastwards for 62m to SP 56052145 at its junction with Alchester Road, as shown on the Order plan. The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 24 November 2022 make an application to the High Court.
