Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Gunsite Lane (Part), Avebury; from its junction with A4 for a distance of approximately 55m in a southerly direction to enable Openreach to provide a safe working area for engineers to access existing telegraph pole to provide customer service and associated works. No alternative route is available.

This Order will come into operation on 21 December 2022 and the closure will be required 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. For further information please contact Openreach on 0370 050 0792. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

B) A4 Bath Road (Part), Chippenham; for a distance of approximately 20m either side of the railway bridge to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out a detailed underbridge examination and associated works. Alternative route via A4 (unaffected length) - A420 - A350 - A4 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 November 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. C) B4643 (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with B4528 for a distance of approximately 575m in a northerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out underground cable repairs via existing access points and associated works. Alternative route via B4528 - A4 - B4643 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 November 2022 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:30 and 05:30 for 1 night. D) C202 (Part), West Overton; from its junction with Bell Lane to outside property known as Cairncot to enable Thames Water to carry out sewer cleaning and associated works. Alternative route 1 via C202 (unaffected length) - C73 - A4 - Bell Lane and vice versa. Alternative route 2 via Wymans Hil - C73 - C202 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 November 2022 and the closure will be required for 3 days. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. E) C8 (Part), Wilcot; from its property known as Bridge Cottage to outside property known as No.53 Wilcot Green to enable JJF LTD on behalf of The Canal and River Trust to carry out the rebuilding of Parapet Walls on the canal bride following a vehicle strike and associated works. Alternative route via C8 (unaffected length) - C52 - C268 -China Lane - C264 - C8 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Orders A) to E) will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.


Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders the effect of which is as follows: To introduce a temporary One-Way Traffic Restriction permitting travel in a north westerly direction on the following length of road:

A) C129 Clack Hill (Part), Lyneham and Bradenstoke; from a point 290m northwest of its junction with C129 Hollow Way to its junction with B4069. And to introduce temporary No Waiting at Any Time restriction on the following lengths of roads.

B) C129 Hollow Way (Part), Lyneham and Bradenstoke - both sides - from its junction with C129 Clack Hill for a distance of 15 metres in an easterly direction;

C) Tithe Barn Lane (Part), Lyneham and Bradenstoke - both sides - from its junction with C129 Clack Hill for a distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction due to reasons of highway safety and risk of serious damage to the highway during planning and works for the land slippage at Lyneham Banks. The restrictions will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. These restrictions which follow an emergency notice will come into operation on 28 November 2022 and are anticipated to be required until the completion of the land slippage works at Lyneham Banks. Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users: A) Footpath 4 (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with B4643 for a distance of approximately 220m in a north easterly direction. B) Footpath 109 (Part), Chippenham ; from its junction with B4643 to its junction with Footpath 1, Chippenham to enable the carrying out of residential development pursuant to planning permission 14/12118/OUT.
Alternative route via using alternative route provided and public highway. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 28 November 2022 and the closure will be required for 06 Months. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 06 months. Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The County Of Wiltshire (Rockley Road, Ogbourne Maizey, Ogbourne St Andrew) (20mph Speed Limit) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that on 16 November 2022 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to revoke The County of Wiltshire (Rockley Road, Ogbourne St Andrew) (Restricted Roads) Order 2016 and to introduce a 20mph speed limit on Rockley Road (also known as Eagle Road), Ogbourne Maizey, Ogbourne St Andrew - from its junction with A346 to a point 26 metres west of western boundary of property known as Bonita Racing Stables. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Traffic Management Act 2004 The County Of Wiltshire (Parishes Of North Wiltshire) (Prohibition And Restriction Of Waiting, Taxi Rank Clearways And On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2018 (Amendment No.7) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that on 16 November 2022 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to amend the following restrictions in Purton in the Parishes of North Wiltshire Consolidation Order 2018 by revoking Map Schedule Nos. AY77 and AZ77 dated 15 March 2019 and replacing them by the insertion of revised Map Schedule Nos. AY77 and AZ77 dated 28 November 2022 the effect of which will be to introduce No Waiting at any time on The Farm, Purton - east side -from its junction with Cowleaze for a distance of 89 metres in a northerly direction; The Farm, Purton - west side - from its junction with Cowleaze for a distance of 20 metres in a northerly direction. Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The County Of Wiltshire (C70 (Hayes Knoll Road), Purton) (Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that on 21 November 2022 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order (previously advertised as The County of Wiltshire (C70 (Hayes Knoll Road,), Purton) (Prohibition of Driving) Experimental Order 2021) under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce a Prohibition of Driving (to all motor vehicles) on C70 (Hayes Knoll Road), Purton - from its junction with B4553 and Tadpole Lane for a distance of 10 metres northwards, in either direction of travel.
