Temporary Closure And Restriction Of Various Roads (Southrop Parish) Cotswold District

Gloucestershire County Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the closures and restrictions is for carriageway resurfacing works.

The roads are expected to be closed and restricted on a rolling programme commencing 29th November 2022 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures and restrictions taking effect. This order can permit the closure and restriction of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 6th December 2022. The above roads fall within various Parishes in the Cotswold District, Gloucestershire as described in the above Schedule. The closure is necessary for urgent ash die back tree works to be undertaken.
The roads were originally closed by Urgent Notice, commencing 21st November 2022. However, the works will not be completed within the 5 days authorised by this Notice, and so it is necessary to extend the closure by a Temporary Order, which can authorise the closure of the Roads for up to eighteen months from the date of the original Notice. The roads are expected to be closed on a rolling programme, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures are in force. The roads are expected to re-open on the 2nd December 2022.

Temporary Closure Of C180 Ashton Road (Siddington Parish) Cotswold District

Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C180 Ashton Road from outside the property known as The Greyhound Public House to its junction with Nursery View for a distance of approximately 152 metres. The reason for the closure is to install new drainage and pipes.
