Minor Parking Amendments Various Roads In The Borough
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth on 23 November 2022 made the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.
* The Wandsworth (Wandsworth Common and Tooting Bee) (Parking Places) (No. 5) Order 2022
* The Wandsworth (Clapham South & Balham) (Parking Places) (No. 5) Order 2022
* The Wandsworth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Areas) (Amendment No. 630) Order 2022.
2. The general effect of the Orders is to:
(a) in Glenburnie Road remove bay a parking bay and replace with single yellow line from a point in the vicinity of the common boundary of 56/58 Glenburnie Road, runs easterly direction for a distance of 7.4m;
(b) in Glenburnie Road introduce a shared use D3 parking bay, operating between 9.30am and 4.30pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive from a point 0.85m west of the boundary of 56/58 Glenburnie Road, runs westerly direction for a distance of 10.1m;
(c) in Glenburnie Road introduce a shared use D3 parking bay, operating between 9.30am and 4.30pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, from a point 4.4m east of the boundary of 56/58 Glenburnie Road, runs easterly direction for a distance of 7.4m
(d) in Fishponds Road, reinstate parking bay from a point 2.9m southwest of the boundary of 5/7 Fishponds Road runs North Easterly direction to a distance of 4.9m.
(e) in Cornford Grove, replace the existing parking bay from a point 0.2m northwest of the boundary of 22 Cornford Grove northwestwards for a distance of 5.2m with single yellow line, and introduce a parking bay from a point 0.2m northwest of the boundary of 22 Cornford Grove runs South easterly direction for a distance of 6.1 m.
3. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders which come into operation on 21 November 2022 are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays in The Customer Centre, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements of that Act or of any relevant regulations made under that Act have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
