NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in County Durham, to enable survey works to be carried out in safety.

The works are expected to start on Monday 19 December 2022 for 7 weeks, or until completed, and will take place between 8pm and 6am.

The effect of the Order will be to close, the A66 westbound entry slip road at Bowes Interchange, during which times a suitably signed alternative route will be available. Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibition (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes).
