NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 7 OF SCHEDULE 14
ISLE OF WIGHT COUNCIL 
PUBLIC FOOTPATH N9 (PART), PAN LANE, NEWPORT, ISLE OF WIGHT DIVERSION ORDER No. 1 2022

On 17 November 2022 the Isle of Wight Council confirmed the above order.

The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert a section of public footpath N9 running from: a point adjacent the boundary of Newport Football Ground at Grid Reference 50547 88569 and heading diagonally across a field in a south east direction for approximately 145m to join Pan Lane at Grid Reference 50678 88507; to: from the same point (Grid Reference 50547 88569) heading south for approximately 100m, then heading south south east for approximately 24m to join the adopted multi use footway on the northern side of Godric Road, as shown on the order map.

A copy of the confirmed order and the order map may be seen free of charge at the Isle of Wight Council Customer Service Centre, County Hall, High Street, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD during normal office hours. Copies of the order and map may be obtained there free of charge.

This order comes into force on the date on which the Isle of Wight Council certify that the terms of Articles 2 and 4 of the order have been complied with but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
