1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham on 21 November 2022 made the above mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 84(1) and (2) and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders will be, In Manor Park Road (the south-west to north-east arm), to:
(a) reduce the existing permit holder parking place on the north-west side of Manor Park Road outside Nos. 47 to 75 by 4.8 metres at the south-western end (double yellow lines will be installed where parking places are being shortened or removed);
(b) remove the existing permit holder parking place on the southwest side of Manor Park Road outside the north-western wall of Nos. 47 to 75;
(c) remove the existing cashless parking place on the south-east side of Manor Park Road outside the north-western wall of the Royal Mail Sorting Office;
(d) relocate and extend the existing cashless parking place on the north-west side of Manor Park Road by 4.6 metres at its western end;
(e) amend the definition of the existing Prohibition of Stopping on Taxi Ranks order to reflect existing road markings;
(f) introduce a new loading bay operating every day from 7am to 7pm on the south side of Manor Park Road, from a point 10.6 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Station Road E12, south-westward for a distance of 8.5 metres;
(g) amend the definition of the existing Electric Vehicles order to reflect the existing road markings;
(h) introduce loading restrictions operating 'at any time' (double kerb blips) on the north-west and south-west side of Manor Park Road from a point 55.6 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Station Road E12 south-westward and then south-eastward for a distance of 33.5 metres;
(i) introduce loading restrictions operating 'at any time' (double kerb blips) on the south-east and north-east side of Manor Park Road, from a point 29.1 metres south-west of the south-western kerb-line of Station Road E12, south-westward and then south-eastward for a distance of 33 metres;
(j) modify the layout of the existing road closure for motor vehicles at its south-western end; and
(k) introduce a 20 mph speed limit.
3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 28 November 2022, and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours at Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road E16 2QU, by telephoning 020 3373 6415 or emailing
, for a period of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made.
4. If any person wishes to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
