SOUTHEND-ON-SEA CITY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS) (CONSOLIDATION OF MOVING TRAFFIC AND SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2006 (AS AMENDED) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2022
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The Southend-on-Sea City Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, (and part IV of Schedule 9) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and Section 73 Schedule 7 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, and in consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Act 1984, the effect of which will amend the above-mentioned Consolidation Order by adding the items listed below:

To introduce: Pedestrian and Cycle Zones and a Prohibition of Vehicles at the following locations

PTO1045 - North Street, Leigh-on-Sea
From its junction with East Street to its junction with West Street.
Operation times: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 9.30pm and 2.30pm - 3.30pm

PTO1047 - Greenways, Thorpe Bay
From its junction with Wyatts Drive to its junction with Lifstan Way.
Operation times: Monday to Friday, 8.15am - 9.15am and 2.30pm - 3.30pm.

A copy of the proposed Order, a map showing the roads to which the Order relates and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the Customer Services Counter on the ground floor of the Civic Centre (address below) during normal office hours and on the Council's website at: https://www.southend.gov.uk/tro

Any comments to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing to the Executive Director (Neighbourhoods & Environment) and marked for the attention of the Traffic Management & Road Safety Team at the address below or emailed to traffweb@southend.gov.uk by no later than 07 December 2022.

All written representations received concerning Traffic Regulation Orders are public documents that may be inspected by any person on demand.
