U2057 POW BRIDGE, WOODHOUSES, NEAR THURSBY
TEMPORARY 3 TONNES MAXIMUM GROSS WEIGHT RESTRICTION ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of the likelihood of danger to the public and potential damage to the bridge structure, the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle exceeding 3 tonnes maximum gross weight from proceeding along that section of the U2057 Pow Bridge, Woodhouses near Thursby, for a distance of approx. 20m either side of the centre line of the bridge.
A suitable alternative route for vehicles exceeding 3 tonnes maximum gross weight is available via the U2057, U2061, C2051 and U1130.
This follows 2 emergency notices dated 20 October 2022 and 10 November 2022.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and
2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.
