Fairoak Lane, Jubilee Way And Rushett Lane, Chessington

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames propose to make the following Orders under section and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985:

* The Kingston upon Thames (40 mph Speed Limit) (No. *) Traffic Order 202*;

2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:

(a) introduce 40mph speed limits in place of national Speed Limits in lengths of

* Fairoak Lane, Chessington from the western boundary of No. 45 Fairoak Lane and the borough boundary of Surrey County Council and

* Rushett Lane, Chessington; from a point 157 metres south-east of Leatherhead Road south-eastwards for a distance of 718 metres and

(b) remove a length of 40mph speed limit so that it reverts back to 30mph in Jubilee Way, Chessington.

3. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders and plans showing the locations and the effects of the proposals may be inspected as follows:-

(a) online at

(b) The Information and Advice Centre, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EU between 9am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive

(c) Council libraries; and

(d) copies of the made Order and plan can also be obtained by calling 020 8547 5000 (between 9am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays); or

4. Persons desiring to object to any of the proposals or make any other representations in respect of them, should send a statement in writing to that effect and, in the case of an objection, stating the grounds thereof to the Council in this matter to Traffic Order Team, Highways and Transport, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, KT1 1EU or email
