South Lakeland District Council (Footpath No 536002 Parish Of Kendal And Footpath No 570013 Parish Of Skelsmergh
And Scalthwaiterigg (Formerly Skelsmergh)) Public Path Stopping Up And Diversion Order 2022

The above named Order made on 3 November 2022 under Section 257 of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 will stop up the entire width of that section of public footpath no 536002 situate at Meadowbank in the parish of Kendal from GR 352357 494842 about 221 metres to GR 352334 494981; and divert the entire width of that section of public footpath no 570013 situate at Meadowbank in the parish of Skelsmergh and Scalthwaiterigg (formerly Skelsmergh) from GR 352334 494981 about 62 metres to GR 352366 495034; to run from A6 Shap Road at GR 352481 494978 west-northwestwards for about 127 metres to GR 352366 495034. The width of the new path will be 2 metres.

A copy of the Order and map may be inspected free of charge at Kendal Library, Stricklandgate, Kendal and the offices of the Countryside Access Team, The Parkhouse Building, Kingmoor Business Park, Carlisle CA6 4SJ by appointment only (ref 5.1.495). Details of the Order can be viewed on the County Council's website and copies of the Order may be purchased at a cost of £2 per A4 sheet and £3 per A3 sheet from the undersigned. for further information. Any supporting statements or objections with respect to the Order can be sent in writing to the Countryside Access Team, (by post or email as addresses above) to be received not later than 15 December 2022 and should state the grounds on which they are made.

If no objections are duly made or if any so made are withdrawn the South Lakeland District Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State any objections which have not been withdrawn will be submitted with the Order.
