The Council has made The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Footpaths Nos. 71(F) and 149, High Wycombe) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2022 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in the entire length of Public Footpath No. 149, High Wycombe and, in that length of Public Footpath No. 71(F), High Wycombe, from Public Footpath No. 149, High Wycombe, for 10m. The closures are required whilst new gas supply works take place, commencing on 7 November 2022 for 33 days. Alternative route is via the existing public highway network. The Order came into operation on 7 November 2022, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.


The Buckinghamshire Council (Public Footpath Between Brands Hill Avenue, High Wycombe And Public Footpath No. 150, Hughenden) Public Path Creation Order 2022

On 26 October 2022, Buckinghamshire Council confirmed the above Order made under section 26 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to create Public Footpath No. 160, High Wycombe and Public Footpath No. 100, Hughenden running from
SU8734-9510 SE down timber framed steps for approximately 19m to SU8736-9509 as shown on the Order map and having a width of 2m throughout. Full details of the Order are available at Reception, Buckinghamshire Council, Walton

The Order comes into force on 23 November 2022, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 11 November 2022, make an application to the High Court.

The Council intends to make Buckinghamshire Council (Kingshill Road, High Wycombe) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2022 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Kingshill Road for approximately 250m. Alternative route: Amersham Road, Chadwick Street, Green Road and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Cadent Gas mains transfer works take place commencing on 21 November 2022. The proposed Order will come into operation on 21 November 2022, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
