The County Council of Durham (C93 New Road, Witton Park) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 1300 metre length of the C93 New Road, between its junction with Paradise Lane at Witton Park to its junction with the road leading to Low Wadsworth Sewage Works south of Beechburn Bridge, High Grange to enable rail bridge repair works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic from the southern side of the closure south westerly on Park Road, Witton Park then west on Sloshes Lane, north on A68 then easterly through Witton le War to Low Lane to the junction with C93 at Beechburn Bridge to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence between 9.30am and 3.30pm on 28/11/2022 and for the duration of the works anticipated to be completed in 4 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
