Croydon Council Disabled Persons Parking Places - Schedule 227

The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (Amendment No.H16) Order 20-

The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No.H17) Order 20-

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

1. The general effect of the Orders would be to:
(a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of No. 4A Avenue Road, South Norwood, No. 150 Court Wood Lane, Croydon, No. 136 Frant Road, Thornton Heath, No. 134 Harrington Road, South Norwood, No. 27 King's Walk, South Croydon (two bays), Nos. 197-119 Marston Way, Upper Norwood, No. 18 Portland Mansion, Portland Road, South Norwood, No. 16 Queen Elizabeth's Gardens, Croydon, No. 47 Queenswood Avenue, Thornton Heath and No. 28 Spring Lane, South Norwood.

(b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons' badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.

(c) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the
above Orders so as to accurately represent the new parking
arrangements as they exist on site.

2. A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, at Bernard Wetherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CRO 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). 3. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the, Parking Design section, Place Department, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CRO 1 EA or by emailing

Croydon Council Road Traffic Regulation Act. 1984. Section 14 As Amended And The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Homefield Road. Coulsdon Temporary Restriction Of Traffic Croydon

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to install a new water connection, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Homefield Road, Coulsdon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Homefield Road will be closed to vehicular traffic between its junction with Waddington Avenue and the northern (rear) boundary of No. 63 Waddington Avenue.

3. Whilst the closure is in force the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be via Taunton Lane, Coulsdon Road, Waddington Avenue and vice versa, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 14 November 2022, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within four days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

Croydon Council Road Traffic Regulation Act. 1984. Section 14 As Amended And The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Thornloe Gardens. Croydon Temporary Restriction Of Vehicular Traffic

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to replace a telegraph pole on behalf of BT, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Thorneloe Gardens, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Thorneloe Gardens will be closed between its junctions with Chasemore Gardens and Barrow Road.

3. During the closure the alternative route for traffic will be via Thorneloe Gardens, Bates Crescent, Williams Terrace, Waddon Way, Goodwin Road and vice versa.

4. The Order will come into operation on 11 November 2022, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. The restriction will not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

Croydon Council Road Traffic Regulation Act. 1984. Section 14. As Amended Dunkeld Road. South Norwood Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic & Parking

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate water service pipe works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic in Dunkeld Road, South Norwood.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

(a) Dunkeld Road will be closed between its junction with Thirsk Road and the south-western boundary of No. 36 Thirsk Road.

(b) Parking within the above closure area will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.

3. Whilst the closure is in force the diversion routes for traffic will be via Thirsk Road, Oban Road and Grange Road, or via Thirsk Road, Bruce Road and Grange Road, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 28 November 2022, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within four days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) Any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

(b) Any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(C) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to a water service pipe, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Lincoln Road, South Norwood.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Lincoln Road will be closed to vehicular traffic between its junctions with Cromer Road and Hambrook Road.

3. During the closure, the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be via Cromer Road, Hambrook Road and vice versa, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 29 November 2022, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within four days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

Croydon Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 16a As Amended By The Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994 Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic & Parking Order Outdoor Community Cinema -Gresham Road, Stanger Road & Clifford Road, South Norwood

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that they intend to make a Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Parking Order, the effect of which will be to close Gresham Road and parts of Stanger Road and Clifford Road, South Norwood, to vehicular traffic and to prohibit parking, to facilitate an outdoor community cinema.

2. During the dates and times specified in the Schedule to this notice:

(a) The entire length of Gresham Road will be closed.

(b) Clifford Road will be closed between its junctions with Gresham Road and Doyle Road.

(c) Stanger Road will be closed between its junctions with Crowther Road and Clifford Road.

(d) Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply "at any time" in the above roads/sections of road.

3. The provisions of the Order will not prevent access being maintained for residents, or pedestrians accessing any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which this Order relates, or to any other premises accessible from, and only from, such a road.

4. Nothing in the Order shall apply:

(a) To anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

(b) To any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

5. Whilst the closure is in force the alternative routes for traffic will be as detailed below and appropriately signed.

* From Stanger Road - via Crowther Road, Portland Road and Doyle Road

* From Clifford Road - via Clifford Road, Portland Road, Balfour Road, and Stanger Road.

6. The Order will come into effect on 23 December 2022 and will be reintroduced at the times and on the dates specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
