Provision of Speed Humps - Hatley Avenue Barkingside
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to control the speed of vehicles under the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with the provisions of the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 the Council of the London Borough of Redbridge proposes to construct kerb-to-kerb speed humps at the following locations:-
(a) Hatley Avenue, approximately 20 metres from the junction of Cranbrook Road;
(b) Hatley Avenue, outside house No. 11 or thereabouts;
(c) Hatley Avenue, outside house No. 26 or thereabouts;
(d) Hatley Avenue, outside house No. 39 or thereabouts;
(e) Hatley Avenue, outside house No. 57 or thereabouts;
(f) Hatley Avenue, approximately 5 metres east of the eastern boundary of No. 74 or thereabouts.
2. The speed humps (a) to (f) would be of round top design, not more than 75 millimetres at their highest point with an overall length of 3.7 metres. The speed humps would be constructed in accordance with Department for Transport regulations.
3. A copy of the plan showing the locations of the speed humps may be inspected between 10.00am and 5.00pm on Monday to Saturday (except on Bank Holidays) at the Central Library, Clements Road, Ilford, IG1 1EA.
4. Any person wishing to object or make representation to the proposals should send a statement in writing of either their objection or representation and the grounds thereof to the Head of Highways and Transportation, Lynton House, 2nd Floor Front, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 1NY quoting reference CP/TE/SA-VB/HATLEY by no later than 24 November 2022.
