The County Council of Durham (Whinney Hill and Dlingworth Grove, Durham City) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 30 metre length of the following roads in Durham City: a) Whinney Hill that extends eastwards adjacent to numbers 13 and 14 Whinney Hill b) Illingworth Grove that extends east from Whinney Hill adjacent to number 1 Whinney Hill, Durham City to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic via Whinney Hill and the non-closed road described above during the phased works. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 28/11/22 and are anticipated to be completed in 4 days (2 days per location). On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
