The Scottish Borders Council (Bonnington Road, Peebles) (Temporary Closing! No 2 Order 2022 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 14 November 2022 and is expected to remain in effect until 19:00 on 18 November 2022 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required for BT Openreach works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Bonnington Road, Peebles from Witchwood southwards for approximately 350 metres.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Bonnington Road, the D66/1,
C10, A72, Tweed Bridge, Springhill Road and Bonnington Road to the point of
closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
