Temporary Closure of Wimborne Road, Tarrant Keyneston

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Wimborne Road, Tarrant Keyneston between the junction with Valley Road and a point approximately 1300 metres to the east. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 09:00 - 16:00 on 16th November 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 22 November 2022.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.

Temporary Closure of Public Footpath No. 6, Portland


DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along footpath no. 6 from grid reference SY 6858 7290 to grid reference SY 6830 7254 a distance of approximately 475M metres. SY 6820 7208 to grid reference SY 6797 7177, a distance of approximately 380 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 18 November 2022 for a period of 6 months. But it can be, extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.

The order is required due to health and safety reasons.

Alternative routes are way marked - please follow the South West Coast path diversion signs.

Temporary Traffic Management Order of Various Roads, Litton Cheney


DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 28 November 2022 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 23 December 2022.

This Order will enable Wessex Water, safe access to carry out sewer renovation works.

The effect of this Order is as follows:

[1] To impose a temporary road closure on CHALK PIT LANE, between its junction with Garden Close and its junction with Main Street, a distance of approximately 150 metres

[2] To impose a temporary road closure on MAIN STREET, between its junction with Chalk Pit Lane and Cox's Lane, a distance of approximately 1000 metres.

[3] To impose a temporary road closure on C121, between The Old Garden and Bedford Terrace, a distance of approximately 100 metres.

[4] To impose a temporary road closure on HINES MEAD LANE, between its junction White Way and Baglake, a distance approximately 250 metres.

Please note the closures will be in operation, as and when indicated by signs on site. Only one closure will be in place at any given time, meaning there will be no conflicting diversion routes.
