Licensing Act 2003 Variation Of The Premises Licence

Notice is hereby given that Ambassador Theatre Group (Venues) Ltd has applied in respect of the Grand Opera House, Cumberland Street, York, YO10 1SW for a variation to the premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003 to allow for: To replace Annex 2 condition 6, which currently reads, "No glass bottles or glass drinking vessels shall be allowed into the auditorium apart from in private boxes that can be purchased as part of the "Ambassadors Box Package" when drink can be consumed in glass drinking vessels before and during performances." This is to be replaced with the following: The use of glass drinking vessels in the auditorium will be risk assessed;

A copy of the risk assessment will be kept on site and made available for inspection on request by the responsible authorities. To remove Annex 2 condition 7, "The occupancy of the preemies is as follows: Stalls Total - 405 (seated 397, stage left box 4, stage right box 4); Dress Circle Total - 289 (seated 269, stage left boxes front 6 rear 4, stage right boxes front 6 rear 4); Upper Circle Total - 336 (seated 320, stage left boxes front 4 rear 4, stage right boxes front 4 rear 4); Total Maximum patrons - 1030, six wheelchairs may be permitted in the stalls area in lieu of removable seating position".The Licensing Application Register can be viewed by prior arrangement with City ofYork Council LicensingTeam (Tel: 01904 552422) at Hazel Court, EcoDepot, James Street,York,YOl0 3DS between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
