The A127 Gla Road (Southend Arterial Road, London Borough Of Havering) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) (No.2) Order 2022

1. Transport for London having consulted the London Borough of Havering hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.

2. The purpose of the Order is to enable carriageway repair works to take place at A127 Southend Arterial Road.

The purpose of the Order is to enable carriageway repair works to take place at A127 Southend Arterial Road.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from entering, exiting and proceeding on:

(1) Southend Arterial Road between its junctions with Gallows Corner Roundabout and Squirrels Heath Road/Ardleigh Green Road. Local access will be maintained;

(2) the eastbound carriageway of Gallows Corner Roundabout Flyover at its junction with Eastern Avenue East;

(3) Bryant Avenue between its junctions with the unnamed service road servicing Mcdonald's Restaurant (Bryant Avenue) and Southend Arterial Road;

(4) the westbound carriageway of Southend Arterial Road between its junctions with Cecil Avenue and the Southend Arterial Road unnamed off-slip road connecting to Hall Lane. Local access will be maitained;

(5) Wingletye Lane between its junctions with the ingress/egress to The Campion School and Southend Arterial Road;

(6) Unnamed on-slip road connecting Hall Lane to the westbound carriageway of Southend Arterial Road.

The Order will be effective at certain times from 14* November 2022 and 26* February 2023 every night 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibition will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

4. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of: The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:
(1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.

5. At such times as the prohibition is in force an alternative route will be indicated by traffic signs via: (for eastbound traffic on Eastern Avenue East) Gallows Corner Roundabout, A12 Colchester Road, Gubbins Lane and Squirrels Heath Road to normal route of travel; Colchester Road, Colchester Road off-slip road, M25 Junction 28 Roundabout, M2S, M25 Junction 29 Roundabout and on-slip road to Southend Arterial Road to normal route of travel; (for westbound traffic on Southend Arterial Road] Squirrel Heath Road, Gubbins Lane and Colchester Rd to normal Route of travel; (for local traffic) Belgrave Avenue, Ferguson Avenue, Upper Brentwood Road and A118 Main Road to normal route of travel; (for the closure of Wingletye Lane) A124 Upminster Road, A124 High Street, North Street, Butts Green Road and Ardleigh Green Road to normal route of travel.
