The Waltham Forest (Mayhew Close E4) (Temporary Restrictions) (No. 1) Order 2022 (TT58(22))

1. The Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that it intends on making an Order to allow for the repair and maintenance of telecommunication apparatus by BT Openreach in a safe and efficient manner in Mayhew Close E4.

2. The general effect of the Order would be, only at such times and to such extent as regulatory signs are displayed or, where applicable, covered; to suspend all free unregulated parking space and restrict vehicles (except works vehicles) from entering, proceeding, waiting or loading, for any purpose, "at any time' on all sections of Mayhew Close E4.

3. Whilst the prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2 above remain in force, advance warning signage and provision for access will be maintained.

4. Whilst the prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2 above remain in force, entry and exit to the prohibited area will be given when required to allow road users to access private property within a 15-minute period.

5. Vehicles waiting or loading in disregard of this Order would be removed.

6. The Order will come into operation on 17th November 2022 and will be valid for 3 months, or until the said works are completed, whichever is the sooner.

7. The prohibitions mentioned in paragraph 2 above would not apply in relation to any vehicle being used:

(a) in connection with the said works; or

(b) for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes (if the works allow)

NOTE: These works would not be carried out simultaneously in all sections of Mayhew Close but in a sequence as directed by the Council. Signage will be placed in advance of any works in which would give more specific details on the exact dates of the restrictions and effects of any temporary traffic management as necessary.
