Temporary Closure Of Public Bridleway Oal48
And Public Bridleway OAL52 And Restricted Byway OAL52 (Alkington Parish) Stroud District
Gloucestershire County Council intend to make an Order to close temporariy under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the Public Bridleways and Restricted Byway as set out in the schedule below.
Schedule
Part of Public Bridleway OAL48 in the Parish of Alkington closed temporarily to cyclists and equestrian users from its junction with Damery to Woodpeckers Lane in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 575 metres to its junction with Public Footpath OAL50. Part of Public Bridleway OAL52 in the Parish of Alkington is to be temporarily closed to users from its junction with Public Footpath OAL50 in a generally easterly direction for approximately 55 metres before continuing as Restricted Byway OAL52 for approximately a further 270 meters to its junction with Public Footpath OAL47. The Public Bridleways and Restricted Byway all fall within the Parish of Alkington in the Stroud District, Gloucestershire. The closure is necessary to safeguard the public whilst a bridge inspection is completed.
The Order will come into force on the 24th November 2022 and it is anticipated that the said Public Bridleways and Restricted Byway will close on that day until 25th November 2022. However, the Order can permit the closure of the said Public Bridleway and Restricted Byway for up to six months from the date of the initial closure.
Alternative Routes - Not Applicable. Emergency access is to be maintained. Pedestrian access to adjoining properties will be maintained.
