NOTICE OF SUBMISSION OF FURTHER OR OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION UNDER REGULATION 22 -TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) REGULATIONS 2011 (SI NO. 1824)
LAND BETWEEN HARBOUR PARADE AND PORTLAND TERRACE
TO THE SOUTH OF WESTQUAY SHOPPING CENTRE
Hammerson UK Properties Pic applied to Southampton City Council on 28th February 2013 for outline planning permission (Application number: 13/00464/OUT) for a mixed use development on land between Harbour Parade and Portland Terrace to the south of WestQuay Shopping Centre.
The development includes alterations to the West Quay Shopping Centre comprising Retail (Use Class A1, A2, A3, A4 and A5 - 19,500 square metres maximum floorspace); Hotel (Use Class C1 - 28,000 square metres maximum floorspace); Residential (Use Class C3 - maximum 620 flats); Leisure (Use Class D2 - 19,500 square metres maximum floorspace) including a Cinema; Offices (Class B1(a) - maximum 10,000 square metres floorspace); public open space; with associated car parking, access, highway, landscaping and other works including infilling the existing pedestrian subway in Bargate Street.
An Environmental Statement (ES) was prepared to accompany the planning application in accordance with the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2011 (the EIA Regulations).
The Applicant has responded to comments by the submission of supplemental information which constitutes other information available in relation to the ES under the provisions of Regulation 22 of the EIA Regulations (the ES Addendum).
Notice is hereby given that further information has been prepared and submitted to Southampton City Council for the purposes of the planning application. This includes a supplemental ES Addendum, a further document entitled, 'Information to Support an HRA Screening Opinion' and additional highway sensitivity testing information. In addition, a revised Design and Access Statement, Design Principles document and Parameter Plans have been submitted.
Members of the public may inspect copies of the ES Addendum and the other documents submitted with the application at Southampton City Council, Civic Centre, Southampton, SO14 7LS, between 9am and 5pm up to and including 24 July 2013.
Members of the public may also obtain copies of the ES Addendum on paper or CD format, while stocks last, from Southampton City Council at the above address. Paper copies can be purchased for a cost of £30 or a CD copy at £10.
