North Street, Temporary Closure

Somerset County Council District of Somerset West and Taunton Parish of Wiveliscombe Temporary Closure of Langley Marsh Road and North Street

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Langley Marsh Road - 20 metres north west of the junction with Whitefield Road, south eastwards for a total distance of 804 metres; and North Street -from the junction with Allenslade Close, southwards for a distance of 615 metres. A total distance of 1419 metres. This Order will enable Telent to carry out works to install new fibre cabling. The Order becomes effective on 17th November 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 21st November 2022 and last until 30th November 2022 between the hours of 18:00 - 08:00 for a total of 9 days.

b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
