The County Council of Durham (Auckland, Chester le Street) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 28/10/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 145 metres of segregated footpath at Auckland from south east of numbers 58-59 and extending north east to the north eastern side of number 59, further extending north east to the south eastern side of numbers 54-55, from south west and south east number 52 to north west number 49 then north west to side of number 43, Chester le Street to enable electric supply renewal works to be undertaken. The footpath in question will be closed in sections to minimise disruption and alternative routes will be available to pedestrian traffic via other local footpaths in the area.

The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence on 7/11/22 and are anticipated to be completed in 6 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
