TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highways (East) (No.25) Order 2022" authorising the stopping up of an irregular shaped northern part width of Queensway, an irregular shaped southern part width of Queensway, the whole of the Queensway pedestrian footbridge, a length and part width of North Street, the whole of Lambert Street, a length and part width of Sutton Road and the whole of Chichester Road pedestrian footbridge at Southend-on-Sea, Essex in the Borough of Southend-on-Sea to enable development as permitted by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, under reference 20/01479/BC4M.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/E/S247/4950). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea Essex, SS2 6ER.
Any person aggrieved by or desiring to question the validity of or any provision within the Order, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement or regulation made has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks of 28 October 2022 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision included.
