TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
THE COUNCIL OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF WALTHAM FOREST hereby gives notice that it has made an order under Section 247 (2AJ of the above Act entitled the London Borough of Waltham Forest (Stopping Up of Highways) (No. 2) Order 2022 to authorise the stopping up of the following area of public highway which are shown hatched black and edged red on the plan attached to the draft order and being:
- part of Marlowe Road, E17 running from its junction with Shernhall Street to where it meets Back Road and being an 'L' shaped area comprising 995 sqm with a length of 113.4 metres and a maximum width of 9.4 metres; and
- part of Back Road, E17 being a rectangular shaped area of public highway comprising 245 sqm running for a length of 42 metres with a maximum width of 5.7 metres
THE ORDER IS MADE to enable development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted by the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest on 20 September 2016 under reference 151652/FUL.
COPIES OF THE ORDER AND THE RELEVANT PLANS MAY BE INSPECTED
during normal office hours at Low Hall Depot, Argall Avenue, London, E10 7AS free of charge or via https://www.walthamforest.gov.uk/content/road-traffic-schemes-and-consultations
ANY PERSON aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of 27 October 2022 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.

THE SCHEDULE
Demolition of the existing Marlowe Road Estate and phased redevelopment of the site comprising 436 residential units (126 x 1 bed, 136 x 2 bed, 138 x 3 bed and 36 x 4 bed) Class A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, and D1 commercial space (1119sqm) in blocks ranging from two to seven storeys in height, car parking, internal infrastructure network, energy centre, new public plaza, hard and soft landscaping and associated works (and retention of Northwood Tower residential block)
