NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton, Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton SM1 1EA (hereinafter called "the Council') has drafted an order ("The Order") pursuant to section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (hereinafter called "the Act") in respect of:

The full extent of Beech Tree Place carriageway and adjacent footway along the frontage of properties 5-25 Beech Tree Place and a small area of St Nicholas Way footway to the north of its junction with Beech Tree Place
The extent of public highway that will be subject to the Order are shown on the map attached to the Order. The effect of the Order would be that the said land would cease to be public highway.

The Council is satisfied that it is necessary to stop up the public highway that is subject to this Order to allow for the implementation of the planning permission described in Schedule 1.

The Council will formally consider any objections to the making of the Order which are submitted to it within the 28 day consultation period commencing Thursday 27 October 2022, ending Thursday 24 November 2022. Any objections must be in writing and sent to the South London Legal Partnership of at Gifford House 67c St Helier Avenue Morden SM4 6HY or by email to

quoting reference CS LEG MK2143 11.

A copy of the Order and a map defining the land to which it relates can be inspected at Council Offices at Front Reception, Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton SM1 1EA , from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 4.45pm on Friday (excluding bank and public holidays) until 24 November 2022.
