North Essex Parking Partnership (High Street, Head Street, St Nicholas Street and North Hill Colchester) Temporary Waiting Restrictions Order 2022
Notice is hereby given Colchester Borough Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1st July 2022 intends to make the following order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
(High Street, Head Street, St Nicholas Street and North Hill Colchester) (Temporary Waiting Restriction) Order 2022
Effects of the order: To introduce no waiting at any time and no stopping except taxi restrictions on the lengths of road described below. The restrictions are required due to a civic event.
1. To introduce no waiting and no loading on the following length of road in the Borough of Colchester:
Road Description
High Street Both sides for its entire length
St Nicholas Street Both sides for its entire length Head Street Both sides for its entire length
2. To introduce no stopping except taxis on the following length of road in the Borough of Colchester:
Road Description
North Hill West side from a point 32 metres north of
its junction with Balkerne Passage north for
a distance of 28 metres
The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 will be temporarily amended in so far as it relates to the waiting, stopping and loading restrictions detailed in this Notice.
The Order will come into operation at 6pm on 12th November 2022 and will continue in force until 1pm on 13th November 2022
(Footpath 129 Colchester, Footpath 130 Colchester and Footpath 8, Wivenhoe) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 129 Colchester, Footpath 130 Colchester and Footpath 8, Wivenhoe in the City of Colchester. Footpath 129 Colchester for a distance of approximately 140 metres from University Quays to its junction with Footpath 130 Colchester. The full extent of Footpath 130 Colchester from its junction with Footpath 129 Colchester to its junction with footpath 8 Wivenhoe. The full extent of footpath 8 Wivenhoe from its junction with footpath 130 Colchester to the High Street, Wivenhoe. The closure is scheduled to commence on 01/10/2022 to 11/11/2022 between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00pm or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while surfacing works to improve the surface of the Wivenhoe trail are undertaken. The alternative route will be via The Avenue, Colchester Road, St Andrews Avenue and Colne Causeway and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 01/10/2022 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Mill Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Road, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 80m south west of its junction with Romulus Close for a distance of approximately 20m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th November 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010668259/5 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water
An alternative route is available via Northern Approach Road, Via Urbis Romanae, Axial Way, Severalls Lane, Mill Road, Mill Road Roundabout and vice versa with access only into Mill Road. The Order will come into effect on 3rd November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
(Spring Lane North, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Spring Lane North, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 250m north east of its junction with Spring Lane Roundabout for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st November 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA79522426 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

The Order will come into effect on 3rd November 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
(The Street, Ramsey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Street, Ramsey in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 65m north east of its junction with Windmill Close for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd November 2022 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA79186620 - Openreach). (Whitehouse Farm Road, Easthorpe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Whitehouse Farm Road, Easthorpe in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 40m north east of its junction with Hardys Green for a distance of approximately 935m in a north westerly then north easterly direction. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Folley Layer-de-la-Haye in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with High Road to its junction with Abberton Road a distance of approximately 780m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th November 2022 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2330408 - Essex County Council). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hall Road, Mount Bures in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Hall Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th November 2022 for 1 night (23:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (KL701SUD-52-61-121122C - Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/ or displayed on one.network. (London Road/School Lane, Great Horkesley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of London Road, Great Horkesley in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 980m north east of its junction with Coach Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a north westerly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of School Lane, Great Horkesley in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 10m in a north easterly direction.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
