London Borough Of Harrow Section 16a Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Temporary Closure Of Roads Or Parts Of Roads For Remebrance Sunday

THE COUNCIL OF LONDON BOROUGH OF HARROW HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that they have made an order under the provisions of Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which would temporarily introduce road closures in the roads listed below to allow a Remembrance Sunday parade to take place.

1. The general effect of the order shall be to introduce the following temporary restrictions on 13th November 2022.
Pinner High Street - 8:00am to 12:00pm

2. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter High Street, Pinner, between its junctions with Grange Gardens and Bridge Street.

3. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load in High Street, Pinner, between its junctions with Grange Gardens and Bridge Street.

Diversion route northbound, via Bridge Street, right into Love Lane, right into Leighton Avenue, and right into Paines Lane. The same route can be followed in reverse for southbound traffic.
Edgware High Street - 7:30am to 1:30pm

4. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter High Street, Edgware, between its junctions with Whitchurch Lane and Canons Drive.

5. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load in High Street, Edgware, between its junctions with Whitchurch Lane and Canons Drive.
Station Road Parade Route - 7:30am to 1:30pm

6. Until normal traffic can be resumed, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in, enter or exit;

(a) Station Road, between its junction with College Road, and its junction with Railway Approach and Marlborough Hill;

(b) Havelock Place.

(c) Milton Road and Blawith Road between their junctions with Poets Way and Station Road, Harrow.

7. Until normal traffic can be resumed, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to turn right from The Bridge into George Gange Way.

8. Until normal traffic can be resumed, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel in a direction other than from south to north in Railway Approach and George Gange Way, between their junctions with Marlborough Hill and Palmerston Road.

9. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load in Station Road, Harrow, between its junction with College Road and Marlborough Hill. Station Road and Railway Approach Closure - 10:45am to 11:15am

Until normal traffic can be resumed, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in, enter or exit into Station Road between a point opposite common boundary of Nos. 7 and 9 Station Road and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 26 and 28 Railway Approach.
Alternative Parade Route
10. Until normal traffic can be resumed, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in, enter or exit;

(a) Station Road, between its junctions with College Road, and its junction with Sheepcote Road;

(b) St. Ann's Road between its junction with Havelock Place and Station Road, Harrow;

(c) Havelock Place;

(d) Greenhill Way, between its junction with Havelock Place and the entrance to Greenhill Way car park;

(e) Greenhill Road;

(f) Welldon Crescent, between its junction with Greenhill Road and Hindes Road;

(g) Hindes Road, between its junction with Welldon Crescent and the roundabout at the entrance to Tescos;

(h) Hamilton Road, between its junction with Hindes Road and Nibthwaite Road;

(i) Nibthwaite Road, between its junction with Hamilton Road and Colton Road; (j) Colton Road;

(k) Blawith Road, between its junction with Colton Road and Poets Way; (I) Poets Way; (m) Milton Way.
11. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load in the lengths of roads closed in Article 8 on the alternative parade route.

Additional Provisions
12. The provisions of Schedule 2, item 1 of The Harrow (Prescribed Routes)!Harrow Town Centre) Traffic Order 2011 shall not apply to any vehicles being used in connection with the Remembrance Sunday Event.

13. Nothing in Articles 2 to 9 of this order shall apply to:-

(a) any vehicle being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer;

(c) any person who causes any vehicle to proceed in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed pursuant to Section 66 or Section 67 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

14. The provisions of this order will not have effect unless all the signs in accordance with the provisions of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (b) are displayed.

15. Northbound Diversion Route, Lyon Road, St. John's Road, Sheepcote Road, Kenton Road, Tyburn Road, Lowlands Road, Pinner Road, Headstone Road, Harrow View, Courtenay Avenue and Uxbridge Road.

Southbound Diversion Route; Marlborough Hill, George Gange Way, High Street, High Road, and from Uxbridge Road, then follow the northbound diversion route in the reverse direction.
