Cassington Road (Yarnton) Proposed Raised Parallel Crossing
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council as the local highway authority under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers proposes to construct the following traffic feature on the Cassington Road in Yarnton as part of the A44 'North Oxford Corridor' (priority 1a) scheme between the Cassington roundabout & Loop Farm roundabout. The proposals seek to help improve pedestrian & pedal cyclist safety in the area:
* A new Humped/Raised 'Parallel' Crossing (combined pedestrian & cycle crossing) as follows:
- to be located on the Cassington Road approx. 10* metres south of the southern edge of the Cassington roundabout,
- the crossing will consist of a zebra crossing (for pedestrian use only) with an adjoining parallel priority cycleway,
- the crossing will be sited on a new flat top road hump approx. 6m wide (with additional 1.125m ramps), 75mm high, with a ramp gradient of 1:15.

Objections to the proposals, specifying the grounds on which they are made and any other representations, should be sent in writing to the address below (or via the web address above) no later than 25 November 2022.
The County Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.
