(Peebles Fireworks Event) (Temporary Closing) Order 2022
The Scottish Borders Council (Peebles Fireworks Event) (Temporary Closing) Order 2022 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 19:15 on 5 November 2022 and is expected to remain in effect until 20:00. The Order is required in the interests of public safety due to the road forming part of the fallout area for the fireworks event taking place in Victoria Park, Peebles.
When the Order comes into effect, in the interests of public safety, no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along Kingsmeadows Road, Peebles from Glensax Road to number 14 Kingsmeadows Road. The closure will come into effect only at such times as instructed by a police officer in uniform.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Kingsmeadows Road, Spring hill Road, Glen Road and Glensax Road to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

(Bonnington Road, Peebles) (Temporary Closing) Order 2022
The Scottish Borders Council (Bonnington Road, Peebles) (Temporary Closing) Order 2022 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 00:01 on 31 October 2022 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 9 November 2022 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required for Scottish Power works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Bonnington Road, Peebles from Greystones to Craigmount.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Bonnington Road, the D66/1, C10, A72, Tweed Bridge, Springhill Road and Bonnington Road to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
