Croydon Council Road Traffic Regulation Act. 1984. Section 14 As Amended And The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions! Act 1991 Thornloe Gardens. Croydon Temporary Restriction Of Vehicular Traffic
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to replace a telegraph pole on behalf of BT, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Thorneloe Gardens, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Thorneloe Gardens will be closed between its junctions with Chasemore Gardens and Barrow Road.
3. During the closure the alternative route for traffic will be via Thorneloe Gardens, Bates Crescent, Williams Terrace, Waddon Way, Goodwin Road and vice versa.
4. The Order will come into operation on 11 November 2022, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. The restriction will not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
