The County Council of Durham (Sedgefield Station, off A689, Sedgefield) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022
The Council on 21/10/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 60 metres of Sedgefield Station road that extends east from the track immediately west of the bridge, Sedgefield Station to enable rail bridge maintenance works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available to vehicular traffic via A689 and the two accesses to Sedgefield Station. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 29/10/22 from 10pm and are anticipated to be completed in 90 minutes. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles.
