The County Of Cumbria (Footpath No.578016 In The Parish Of Ulverston) (Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrians) Order 2021

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Cumbria County Council on 18 May 2022, which became operative on 24 May 2021, to enable Cadent Gas to carry out works to divert a gas pipeline ("the Works") and which would otherwise expire on 24 November 2022
: has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 24 November 2023.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along an approx. 1.1km section of Footpath No.578016, alongside Ulverston Canal in the Parish of Ulverston, between Grid References 329428, 478555 and 330405, 478092. A suitable alternative route for pedestrians will continue to be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of Public Footpath No.578016 and the footways of Canal Street, North Lonsdale Road and Canal Foot.
