Somerset County Council Somerset West and Taunton District Parish of Bathealton Temporary Closure of Sminhay Bridge

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Sminhay Bridge - from the junction with Bathealton Road, north westwards for a total distance of 87 metres This Order will enable Hammond (ECS) Ltd to make repairs to a disused railway bridge. The Order becomes effective on 27th October 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 31st October 2022 and last until 16th December 2022 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 47 days. Please visit
