Somerset County Council Somerset West and Taunton District Temporary Closure of Coal Orchard

Somerset County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Coal Orchard - from the junction with St James Street northwards for a total distance of 65 metres. This Order will enable Wales and West Utilities to carry out works for gas mains replacement works. The Order becomes effective on 27th October 2022 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 31st October 2022 and last until 25th November 2022 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 26 days. There is no alternative route for this closure.
