Notice Of Publication Of Draft Non-Statutory Planning Guidance

Notice is hereby given that East Ayrshire Council has published draft nonÂstatutory planning guidance; A Development Framework for the Hagshaw Energy Cluster: Planning for Net Zero.
The draft non-statutory planning guidance provides a Development Framework for the area bounded by the communities of Muirkirk, Douglas and Coalburn, falling within both East Ayrshire and South Lanarkshire Local Authority boundaries.
Copies of the draft non-statutory planning guidance have been deposited at:

The draft document is available for inspection at the Council offices mentioned above, between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday to Thursday and 9am and 4pm.
Representations on the draft guidance should be sent either by e-mail to
or in writing to: Development Planning and Regeneration Section, East Ayrshire Council, The Opera House, 8 John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock, KA11DD. Representations must be received by the Council on or before 4pm on Friday 9 December 2022.
South Lanarkshire Council is consulting on the guidance at the same time. Responses to the consultation will be shared between the two authorities, therefore respondents need only respond to one of the consultations.
