The County Council of Durham (Newbottle Lane, Chilton Moor) (Temporary Road and Footpath Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 21/10/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all traffic from proceeding on 500 metres of Newbottle Lane that extends northward and eastward from its junction with Black Boy Road, Chilton Moor to safeguard the public and to an enable insurance assessment to be undertaken before a solution can be agreed. There is no signed alternative route for vehicular or pedestrian traffic during the closure period. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The works are expected to commence on 24/10/22 and are anticipated to be completed in 6 months. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
