M3 Motorway - Junctions 7 To 9 Temporary Traffic Restrictions

Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the M3 Motorway in the County of Hampshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order is to authorise the overnight closure of both carriageways of the M3 between Junction 7 (A30) and Junction 9 (A34/A272), and all slip and link roads leading to and from these lengths of carriageway. These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake bridge and all associated works. It is expected that the work will last for approximately 4 weeks starting on or after
Monday 31st October 2022. The overnight
closures will take place between 21:00 and
06:00 (maximum period).

The Order will come into force on the 28th October 2022 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted using the A30, A33 and A34.
The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
