D2279 Manor Drive, Ewell Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022
On 19 October 2022 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D2279 Manor Drive, Ewell that extends from its junction with D2346 Preston Drive, to the southwestern property boundary of "No.42 Manor Drive". This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out surface dressing and/or resurfacing and/or improvement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within 7 days of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 November 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion route: - D2286 Meadow Walk, D2207 Highfield Drive, D2041 Bradford Drive and D2346 Preston Drive. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner.
C197 Church Road, Epsom
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022 Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C197 Church Road, Epsom that extends from its junction with C197 Pitt Road, to its junction with D2451 Wimborne Close. This Traffic Order is required to enable SQS to carry out service pipe repair and/or maintenance works in that length of C197 Church Road, Epsom that extends outside "No.93 Church Road, Epsom". These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 7pm within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 November 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. No sole access will be affected, access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained to the point of works, via the vehicular diversion route: - Southbound traffic - Grove Road, Church Street, and Pitt Road. Northbound traffic - College Road, and Albert Road.
Pound Lane (D2345) Epsom
Temporary Traffic Management Order 2022 Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14 (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily -(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Pound Lane (D2345) Epsom as it extends from its junction with Lower Court Road (C195) to its junction with Hook Road (B824); and b) prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading and unloading at any time in that length of the unrestricted parking bay on Pound Lane (D2345) Epsom that extends from a point approximately 27 metres west of its junction with (B284) Hook Road south-westwards for a distance of approximately 26 metres.
(c) Suspend the one-way system of traffic in the entire length of Pound Lane (D2345) Epsom that is imposed by "The Borough of Epsom and Ewell (Various Roads) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1970" as amended. The Order is required to allow new sewerage connection works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Thames Water within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night between the hours of 7pm and 11pm within the 12 month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 16 November 2022. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary restrictions and the suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and to the extent indicated by those traffic signs. For subparagraph (a) above: Access for emergency services, residents and pedestrians will be maintained at all times via road plates that will be in place through the closure. All other traffic will be required to follow the alternative route described above. Alternative Route - (a) Temple Road, Chase Road and Hook Road. (b) Lower Court Road and Hook Road.
For sub-paragraphs (b) and (c) above: Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction). Dated: 20 October 2022
