1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames propose to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 19841, as amended -
(a) The Kingston upon Thames (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*;
(b) The Kingston upon Thames (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*; and
(c) The Kingston upon Thames (Prescribed Routes) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*
2. The general effect of the Orders would be to introduce the following prohibitions and restrictions to facilitate a new retail development at Nos. 153 to 161 London Road, Kingston in the following roads:-
(a) Birkenhead Avenue
(i) 'No Entry' (excluding emergency vehicles and cyclist) from entering the carriageway in an easterly direction towards London Road outside the telephone exchange;
(ii) banned right turn from the rear access road of Nos. 153 to 161 London Road; and
(iii) remove a certain length of single yellow line and introduce double yellow line waiting restrictions in the vicinity of the proposed 'No Entry Point';
(b) Gordon Road
(i) 'No Entry' (excluding emergency vehicles and cyclist) from entering the carriageway in an easterly direction towards London Road in the vicinity of No. 29; and
(ii) banned left turn from the access road of Nos. 153 to 161 London
Road;
(c) London Road, Kingston a Yellow Box Junction' at its junction with Gordon Road
3. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders and plans showing the locations and the effects of the proposals may be inspected as follows:-
(a) online at
consultation selecting reference KingMap0074 Birkenhead Avenue -Gordon Road;
(b) The Information and Advice Centre, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EU between 9am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive;
(c) Council libraries; and
(d) copies of the proposed Orders and plans can also be obtained by calling 020 8547 5000 (between 9am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays); or

4.
