The County Council of Durham (Moorlands, Blackhill, Consett) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 14/10/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 25 metres of Moorlands between North View back and North View, Blackhill, Consett to enable telecom duct installation works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the southern side of the closure from Moorlands turning west onto A691 Durham Road then north on Benfieldside Road, east on Western Hill to Moorlands to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 26/10/22 and are anticipated to be completed in 3 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
