The County Council of Durham (North Road, Durham) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

The Council on 14/10/22 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 40 metres of North Road, between its junctions with A690 North Road roundabout and Station Approach, Durham City to enable rail bridge inspection works to be undertaken. Alternative route from the southern side of the closure from A690, east to A691 Millburngate roundabout then north westerly on A691 to the junction with North Road to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 25/10/22 from 11pm and are anticipated to be completed in 7 hours. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
