The County Council of Durham (Aiden Close and East Street, East Stanley) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2022

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on the following lengths of footpath in East Stanley: Aidan Close - a 42 metre length from front of number 1 to north eastern corner of number 4; A 35 metre length from the front of number 4 to the north western corner of number 9. East Street - A 55 metre length along the eastern side of numbers 1 to 5 leading to the carriageway of East Street to enable gas main renewal works to be undertaken. Alternative routes will be available to pedestrian traffic via other local footpaths leading to the opposite sides of the listed properties. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence on 7/11/22 and are anticipated to be completed in 2 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
