The Borough Of Blackburn With Darwen
(Garden Street, Blackburn) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order is to close Garden Street from its junction with Wensley Road and Saunders Road.

The closure is necessary for the following reason: Junction improvements

The Order will come into force on 24th October 2022 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 2nd November 2022. The alternative route for the affected traffic will be Apple Street and Lancaster Street when coming from A674. Another alternative route will be via Bent Gap Lane, Rawstorne Road and Oozehead Lane and vice versa.

Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all
