(City Of Oxford) (Jericho) (Parking Places And Controlled Parking Zone) (Variation No.**) Order 202*
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order is to make permanent the provisions of a current Temporary Traffic Regulation Order made under the Traffic Orders Procedure (Coronavirus) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2020 which suspends waiting, parking and loading at the following two locations. This is to facilitate the the continued safe use in part of the road, of tables and chairs by the adjacent retail hospitality businesses.
1. Walton Street - north east side - from a point 90 metres south east of the south-eastern kerbline of St Bernard's Road south-eastwards for a distance of 16 metres (in place of existing 1 hour parking places - permit holders exempt).
2. Walton Street - north east side - from a point 30 metres south east of the south-eastern kerb line of Observatory Street, south-eastwards for a distance of 7 metres (in place of existing 1 hour parking places)
The Oxfordshire County Council (City of Oxford) (Parking Places and Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2000 will be further amended as necessary. Documents giving more details of the proposals are available for public inspection online by visiting

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by 18 November 2022. NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984.
The effect of the order is to close North Parade Avenue providing a safe pedestrian and cycle area and to improve the environment for residents and visitors to local retail premises as follows:
1.) To create a safe zone in North Parade Avenue (the Restricted Road) between Banbury Road and Winchester Road - from November to March between 10am and 6.30pm and from April to October between 10am and 9pm, with exemptions provided for Emergency service vehicles, essential services, and for residents vehicles requiring access to premises.
2.) The Restricted Road will be signed as Prohibition of Vehicles (cycles/scooters must be pushed through the closed/gated area).
3.) The One-Way traffic restriction will be removed.
4.) There will be a prohibition of loading and unloading in
the Restricted Road during the closure hours.
5.) Loading bays will be provided in Winchester Road, west
side (in place of a previously removed Disabled Persons
Parking place) and in the Banbury Road Bus Lane.
6.) A disabled Persons Parking bay will be provided in
Winchester Road, east side in place of a Residents Parking
place.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Walton Manor, Oxford) (Parking Places and Traffic Management) (Consolidation) Order 2003, and the Oxfordshire County Council (Disabled Persons Parking Places - Oxford) Order 2010, will be further amended as necessary. An amendment may also be made to the Oxfordshire County Council (City of Oxford and North Hinksey) (Bus Lanes, Cycle Lanes and Traffic Management) Order 2006 to accommodate the loading bay in the Bus Lane on Banbury Road.
