Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Abingdon, Milton Road & Drayton Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 24 October 2022 Coming into force: 26 October 2022 This Order is being introduced because for ducting in carriageway for new High Voltage connections which are anticipated to be completed 23 December. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the whole length of Milton Road and Drayton Road from junction of the council depot to the junction of Sutton Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Sutton Road, Milton Road, High Street, Drayton Road and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever

Milton, School Lane & Old Moor Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 17 October 2022 Coming into force: 24 October 2022 This Order is being introduced because of installation of fibre optic cables. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the School Lane from 24 October to 8 November and in Old Moor from 9 to 15 November. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the closures will be signed locally.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T10682/AC)_

Crowmarsh Gifford, Benson Lane Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 17 October 2022 Coming into force: 24 October 2022 This Order is being introduced because of replacement of the existing water main which is anticipated to be completed 11 November 2022. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the northernmost part of Benson Lane to its junction with the A4074. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via A4074 and The Street. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. Benson, Hale Road, OX10 6NE Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 17 October 2022 Coming into force: 25 October 2022 This Order is being introduced because of excavation works for new electricity supply which is anticipated to take 10 days to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the central section of Hale Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. There is no alternative route as the closure location is a dead end. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
