Public Path Diversion And Definitive Map And Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980 Wildlife And Countryside Act 1981 The Borough Council Of Bolton (Public Footpath No. 380 Bolton (Parti And Restricted Byways No's Bolton 379 & 381a (Parti) Public Path Diversion Order And Definitive Map And Statement Modification Order 2022
The above Order, made on 12th October 2022 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 ("the 1980 Act") and under section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting Public Footpath 380 Bolton (part) and Restricted Byways No's Bolton 379 and 381A (part) as follows: Public Footpath No. Bolton 380 situated to the east of 16 Moss Hall Farm Cottage, Bolton, BL5 1AL, commencing from point A at grid reference SD 70611 05509 in a generally south by easterly direction to point B at grid reference SD70625 05455 for a distance of approximately 56 metres as shown by the continuous bold black line between points A-B on the Order Plan of a width of 3.0 metres throughout over a grass and gravel surface. Restricted Byway No. Bolton 379 situated to the south of 16 Moss Hall Farm Cottage, Bolton, BL5 1AL, commencing from point C at grid reference SD 70647 0556 in a generally westerly direction to point D at grid reference SD70618 05455 for a distance of approximately 29 metres as shown by the continuous bold black line between points C-D on the Order Plan of a width of 3.0 metres throughout over a cinder surface.
Restricted Byway No. Bolton 381A situated to the south of 16 Moss Hall Farm Cottage, Bolton, BL5 1AL, commencing from point D at grid reference SD 70618 05455 in a generally westerly direction then turning in a southerly direction to point E at grid reference SD70616 05450 for a distance of approximately 8 metres as shown by the continuous bold black line between points D-E on the Order Plan of an unrecorded width over a natural surface.
The new lines will commence:
Public Footpath No. Bolton 380 from a new line from point A at grid reference SD70611 05509 in a generally east - south easterly direction to point F at grid reference SD70624 05504 for a distance of approximately
14 metres then running in a generally south by easterly direction to point G at grid reference SD70628 05489 for a distance approximately 16 metres then running in a generally south easterly direction to point H at grid reference SD70641 05479 for a distance of approximately 16 metres then running in a generally southerly direction to point I at grid reference SD70644 05458 for a distance of approximately 21 metres then running in a generally south- south easterly direction to point C at grid reference SD70647 05456 for a distance of approximately 4 metres as shown by the bold black broken line between points A-F-G-H-l-C on the order plan over a total distance of approximately 71 metres of a width of 2.3 metres throughout over a natural surface.
Restricted Byway No. Bolton 379 commencing from a new line from point C at grid reference SD70647 05456 running in a generally south-south westerly direction to point J at grid reference SD70644 405452 for a distance of approximately 4 metres then running in a generally west by southerly direction to point K at grid reference SD70624 05451 for a distance approximately 20 metres as shown by the bold black broken line with arrowheads between points C-J-K on the order plan over a total distance of approximately 24 metres of a width of 3 metres throughout over a natural surface.
Restricted Byway No. Bolton 381A commencing from a new line from point K at grid reference SD70624 05451 running in a generally west by southerly direction to point E at grid reference SD70616 05450 for a distance of approximately 8 metres as shown by the bold black broken line with arrowheads between points K-E on the order plan over a total distance of approximately 8 metres of a width of 3 metres throughout over a natural surface.
A copy of the Order and Plan have been placed and may be seen free of charge at The One Stop Shop, Town Hall, Bolton, BL1 1RU during open hours. Copies of the Order and Plan may be purchased. Objections or representations should state the grounds on which they are made and either sent to
or in writing to Saskia Whalley at the address below not later than the 24th November 2022. If no objections or representations are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for confirmation, any objections or representations which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
