The Council of The London Borough of Redbridge The Redbridge (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2021 (Amendment No. 4) Order 2022


The Council of the London Borough of Redbridge on 12th October 2022 made the above-mentioned Order, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, in exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 121A and 124 and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to.

1. Install no waiting at any time restrictions outside Nos. 2 to 58 Whitehall Lane, at the Hempstead Close and Whitehall Lane junction, Brancepeth Gardens and Whitehall Lane junction;

2. Install no waiting 2pm to 3pm Monday to Friday, banning footway parking at all times, from the side of No. 134 Whitehall Road on Whitehall Lane to outside No. 27 Whitehall Lane, between Hempstead Close and Oakland Place on Whitehall Lane, from the side of No. 2 Oakland Place on Whitehall Lane to the side of No. 19 to 25 Hurstcombe on Whitehall Lane;

3. Carry out the following admin-based exercises to ensure that restrictions on site and the corresponding traffic orders are matching (no changes to be made on site);

(a) Revoke Payment parking operating Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 6.30pm with a maximum stay of 2 hours and no return within 2 hours outside Nos. 119 to 107 George Lane;

(b) Revoke Payment parking operating Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 6.30pm with a maximum stay of 3 hours and no return within 1 hours outside Nos. 1 to 9 Clock House Parade, High Street, Wanstead;

(c) Formalise existing no waiting at any time restrictions outside Nos. 117 and 115 George Lane and Nos. 9 to 5 Clock House Parade, High Street, Wanstead;

(d) Formalise existing Car Club Bays outside No. 119 George Lane and Nos. 6 and 5 Clock House Parade, High Street;

(e) Formalise existing Pay and Display restrictions operating Monday to Saturday, 8.30am to 6.30pm outside Nos. 115 to 107 George Lane and Nos. 4 to 1 Clock House Parade;

(f) Formalise existing Electric Vehicles Only restrictions outside No. 5 Clock House Parade, High Street, Wanstead;

(g) Revoke permit parking operating Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.30pm and formalise existing Electric Vehicles Charging Point Bays (Permit Holders Only) at the side of No. 103 Wanstead Park Avenue on Herongate Road and at the side of No. 95 Harpenden Road on Margaretting Road;

(h) Revoke Electric Vehicle Charging Point Bays (Permit Holders Only) at the side of No. 103 Wanstead Park Avenue on Herongate Road and at the side of No. 95 Harpenden Road on Margaretting Road and implement Permit Parking operating Monday to Friday 8.30am to 6.30pm;

A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 21th October 2022, together with the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Order, the map schedule and map schedule legend indicating the location and the effect may be examined at the Central Library, Clements Road, llford, IG1 1EA between 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday (except on Bank Holidays) and 10am to 5pm Saturday.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
